We may be life-long Democrats, but the word Lib-er-al does not fit every Democrat, including us. We are moderates, who believe in the right bear arms, within reasonable limits, we believe in personal responsibility and do not expect the federal government to always bail us out, we oppose widespread welfare and we disagree with individuals who file for bankruptcy to avoid paying their obligations, and, like most Democrats and most Republicans, we are opposed to the higher taxes that have been levied on the middle class by this administration while the wealthiest 1% receive huge tax breaks. We are moderates and we are patriots working to make America stronger. One must take the words "liberal and "conservative" with a grain of salt. As Chris Rock said, "No person is one thing. I've got things I'm conservative about; I've got things I'm liberal about. Crime, I'm Conservative. Prostitution, I'm Liberal.
